In 2010, World Health Organization (WHO) developed with Lombardia Region (Italy) in Geneva (Switzerland) a document called “Benchmarks for training in traditional/complementary and alternative medicine”. According to WHO, the Syllabus of Type 1 program of Complementary Medicine for Holistic (Natural) Practitioners, must include no fewer than 1500 hours, including no less than 400 hours of supervised clinical training.
