What does a Registered Natural Health Practitioner Do?
A Registered Natural Health Practitioner - RNHP - is a natural health professional who educates and guides people in natural health and wellness.
A RNHP has a training at the Educational, Preventive and Rebalancing level:
Supporting and guiding individuals toward healthier lifestyle habits.
Detecting imbalances before they become chronic.
Offering natural solutions to restore vitality.
The Health Practitioner is able to apply recommendations at the level of all functional imbalances by linking symptoms to underlying causes and designs individualized protocols.
They empower individuals to make informed choices about their health and take an active role in their wellness journey and assess clients' lifestyles, vital hygiene and health goals, then develop personalized treatment plans that include various modalities based on their health conditions.
The Health Practitioner is also trained to integrate the tools of naturopathy: herbal medicine, aromatherapy, manual techniques, healthy lifestyle, stress management, etc.
Training Program
The Health Practitioners are professionals who have have completed coursework in the following subjects:
Health Education: Understand, Prevent, Inspire. Health Education explores the connections between our behaviors, environment, and vitality. You’ll discover how lifestyle habits, nutrition, emotional balance, and the quality of your surroundings directly influence your well-being.
Vital hygiene: The balance of vital forces — nutrition, breathing, movement, rest, emotions, light . It teaches you how to live in accordance with nature’s principles.
The Regenerative Treatment: meristemotherapy (known more as gemmotherapy) — an approach that uses the fresh embryonic tissues of plants (buds, young shoots, rootlets), rich in active compounds and vital energy. Applying meristemotherapy therapeutically across the body’s main systems: musculoskeletal, respiratory, nervous, digestive, renal, urogenital, and cardiovascular. The use of bud macerates to support various conditions, including rheumatic, metabolic, dermatological, and allergic disorders.
Drugs and Medical exams: the main families of medications, their mechanisms of action, beneficial and side effects. How to interpret laboratory tests and clinical reports, recognize normal values and significant deviations. Drug interactions, their potential risks, and the importance of respecting medical prescriptions.
Pathologies and Medical lexicon: connecting anatomical and physiological knowledge with the symptoms observed in clinical practice. Exploring how functional disorders can evolve into chronic conditions and how natural approaches can intervene at various stages of this process.
Phyto-Energetics: exploring the therapeutical power of medicinal plants through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Traditional uses, recommended dosages, contraindications, and safety precautions of more than 150 plants. Various methods of preparation and use—including infusions and tinctures. Plant selection based on each individual’s constitution, energetic imbalances, and specific needs, leading to a more precise, harmonious, and deeply personalized approach to natural healing.
Clinical Aromatherapy: exploring various therapeutic uses and different properties of more than 100 essential oils and their chemotypes according to the diversity and concentration of certain aromatic molecules.
Orthomolecular approach: introduction to the principles of orthomolecular medicine, a discipline based on the use of natural and biological molecules — vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other essential nutrients — as therapeutic tools to support vital functions and restore the body’s balance. Understanding amino acids, fatty acids, antioxidants, bioflavonoids, and enzymes — their biochemical roles, dosages, contraindications, interactions, and dietary sources. Connecting pathologies to their specific deficiencies
Oligotherapy: the use of essential minerals in very small doses to support the body’s balance and vitality. These trace elements, though present in minute quantities, play a crucial role in major biological functions — immunity, energy production, mood regulation, digestion, hormonal balance, and more. How to combine trace elements intelligently according to individual needs — to strengthen vitality, manage stress, support the immune system, or address functional disorders.
Nutrition, Metabolism and Nutritional balance: the essential foundations for understanding the families of nutrients — macronutrients and micronutrients — that form the basis of any balanced diet. The importance of the main nutrients — proteins, fats, carbohydrates, fiber, and water. Exploring diseases, digestive imbalances and their consequences on a metabolic level. Recognizing the early signs of these imbalances, such as oxidative stress, acid-base balance, free radicals or even silent inflammation. Exploring the major food groups and their balance, comparing various classic dietary guides with alternative approaches. Understanding, analyzing, and evaluating multiple diets and nutritional trends. Developing a personalized nutritional approach, taking into account naturopathic principles.
